these pieces use spectral processing to combine ‘guilty pleasure’ pop songs with field recordings made in locations that have a corresponding emotional resonance.
think of hearing the perfect song as you’re driving down a favourite stretch of road or the tune that’s on ipod repeat as you’re walking down a sunset street…now try to stretch that moment out.
